Since 2004

Major Machines established in 2004 is an earth moving, plant hire and blasting business, situated in Merrivale in the heart of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Equipped with a fleet of machines and highly trained operators, we have under taken and completed an array of projects from silage pits to the construction of farm roads.

Major Machines was founded by George Sabatta due to his interest in and passion for earth moving and has completed projects among others such as the breath taking road built in the Umgeni Valley as well as an array of beautiful dams.

Growth

Major Machines has grown from strength to strength and our team of highly skilled operators have more than doubled over the past years, and we now have a fleet of over 40 machines available for plant hire and contract work. We have successfully maintained a close relationship with South Africa’s sizeable foresters where we upgrade and maintain plantations on an ongoing bases. Further we have a growing number of contracts with the Department of Transport as well as with private individuals.
